Section 6 — Field Procedure & Best Practices

  1. Staging: Verify class, number, and dash card.
  2. Owner intro: Ask permission to view under seat/side covers.
  3. Two-pass method: First pass big picture; second pass detail scoring.
  4. Notes: Record deductions with short reasons; no fractional smaller than 0.5.
  5. Timing: 5–7 minutes per bike (stock), 7–9 minutes (custom/radical).
  6. Closeout: Confirm card number, finalize score, move on.
  7. No score sharing on the field. Team captain handles owner questions later.
