Section 5 — Deductions (Quick Reference)

Typical single-item deductions; use common sense and event guidance.

  • Minor dust/water spot missed: –0.5
  • Visible polish residue, light corrosion, small chip: –1
  • Mismatched fasteners/obvious non-period part (stock): –2 to –5
  • Cable/loom routing sloppy, tie wraps over trim areas: –2
  • Paint defects (runs, sanding marks, orange peel): –2 to –6
  • Fluid seepage or recent drip evidence: –3 to –10 (admin review if active)
  • Incorrect wheel/tire type for stock class: –3 to –8
  • Poor welds/fab interference (custom): –3 to –10
  • Missing required trim/badges in stock: –2 each (cap 10 unless major)

Administrative disqualifiers (Chief Judge review):

  • Active fuel leak or unsafe stand condition.
  • Bike cannot be positioned safely for judging.
  • For-sale signs if prohibited by event rules.
